Well, now we get our first REAL look at most of the Brawl menus in the game! There is Group, Solo, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, Vault, Options, and Data. Also, you get a sound test from the very first time you turn on the game.

Rotation

Rotation is a mode where if you have more than 4 people, you can rotate and let everyone have a turn. You can have up to 16 players at once.

Bonsly

When Bonsly appears from the Poke Ball, He just walks around until someone picks him up, and chucks it at you. It has the ability to knock someone out at 50%, so watch out.

Taunting

You may remember taunting from the previous Smash Bros. games, but this one adds 3 to the mix. You can have a Up, Left and Right taunt. You can also set a button to a phrase that you enter before the match.

Ike: Final Smash

I know some people have known this for a while, but Nintendo is really contributing to the wellness of the environment. Check it out:

In our offices:
– We recycle the paper we use company-wide.
– We limit our use of colored paper, since it’s not easily recycled.
– We purchase recycled paper towels, report covers, message pads, and writing pads.
– We currently recycle more than 70% of the waste that is generated at our headquarters.
– We actively promote the recycling of aluminum cans and glass in our corporate cafeterias.

In our products:
– We use at least 80% recycled paper in all of our shipping packaging.
– We no longer use Styrofoam in our game pak or Game Boy packaging.
– All of our instruction manuals are printed on recycled paper.
– We no longer use plastic Game Pak covers.
– Our clamshell packaging is recyclable and most recycling centers accept it.
– We require that manufacturers not use any banned substances (such as lead, mercury, etc.) in components, nor use them in the manufacturing process for any components used inside of our products. This requirement also extends to suppliers of packaging, marketing materials, and other items used in the marketing and distribution of our products.

Honestly, I think that people can make this world a cleaner place if we really try. We just need a little jolting.

Browser issues

Ok, I've been having some problems with the browsers for this page. Internet Explorer, for some reason, makes the "banner" for the chatbox a link to Notices. Firefox does the same thing. Safari just goes wacky, and makes all the text on the page a link to Notices (with the exception on the blog post name). The only one that works properly is Opera. So, yes, that means the Internet Channel too. I don't think that there's a way to fix it(I tried separating the link, didn't work. Tried removing Notices, made a link to Music instead. Tried moving it to the right side, still didn't work). If anyone can help me with this, please leave a comment. Thanks.

Taking Snapshots

This really wasn't a mode that people were really thinking of, but makes a welcome return. Snapshots are back! The only difference is that the camera options comes when you pause, there's no separate mode, and you don't have to have a 4th player. One more addition is you can send your photos to other people, plus put them on your SD Card for more memory. I don't think that you can see them on a computer though.
As for the blurred out thing, I don't know what that is, so just stay tuned.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Marks Series’ Debut on Nintendo DS

VANCOUVER, B.C., Oct. 3, 2007 – Launch of The Legend of Zelda®: Phantom Hourglass for Nintendo DS™ marks the arrival of perhaps the deepest, richest story ever to appear on a hand-held video game system. The game requires players to fill up the Phantom Hourglass with sand and give themselves enough time to delve deeper and deeper into the ultimate dungeon. It has received critical praise both in North America and in Japan, where it launched in late June.

“The storyline for The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass represents a new pinnacle for hand-held video games,” says Ron Bertram, vice president and general manager, Nintendo of Canada. “We are also pleased to announce the title will provide Canadians with an option to play the game in English or French.”

Veteran gamers should be able to pick it up and start playing instantly. “The game is a pure testament to both the power and innovative aspects of DS, delivering an overall product that will blow gamers away visually, stylistically and cinematically,” says Mark Bozon of IGN.com, who rated the game 9 out of 10, including a perfect 10 rating for its “stunning” graphics. A notoriously critical Japanese publication also gave The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass a near-perfect score: Four judges rated it a perfect 10, while one gave it a 9.

But what about people who haven’t played a Zelda game since the original on the Nintendo Entertainment System® in 1987? No worries. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has players navigate through the game using only the touch screen. Sliding the stylus swings hero Link’s sword, while tapping other characters starts conversations or battles. Players can even write notes on their maps to remind them of places they should revisit once they gain more items and experience.

If two players want to spend a little time together with The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, they have two options. If they’re in the same room, they can play over a local wireless connection. If they’re far apart, they can use their Internet connection to log onto Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection and battle in the two-player mode, which lets one player control Link while the other player controls the enemies who are after him.

If you want to change the Pokemon, well, thats the Down Special Move. You can switch between the Pokemon with that command. All the Pokemon share the same stamina meter, so that means that even if you swap the Pokemon out, they will still have the same stamina level as the Pokemon before. Also, if you swap the Pokemon out too much, that will affect their stamina.

Diddy Kong: Special Moves

The Standard Special Move for Diddy is called Peanut Popgun. It shoots a peanut at your opponents. You can even eat the peanuts and regain some health. Hold the button down for a stronger shot, but it does explode after a while.

The Up Special Move is called Rocketbarrel Boost. This shoots you up in the air with barrels, but if you get shot down in the air, you will fall.

Nintendo Annouces Partnership with Roush Fenway Racing

Concord, N.C. - July 16, 2007 - Nintendo's record-selling Wii™ video game system takes video gaming to a whole new level with a partnership with Roush Fenway Racing and NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Greg Biffle. Biffle will debut the Wii-themed Ford Fusion at Watkins Glen in August and then provide an encore performance at Dover's Monster Mile in September. Nintendo's partnership with Roush Fenway Racing is the company's first endeavor with NASCAR and it is excited about the possibilities it brings.

"Partnering with Roush Fenway Racing further demonstrates how Wii is bringing gaming to the masses," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "Like going to a NASCAR race, playing Wii is a family event. Everyone can enjoy Wii regardless of his or her gaming knowledge and experience."

Biffle has one Nextel Cup and two Busch Series wins at Dover International Speedway as well as one Craftsman Truck Series win at Watkins Glen. Biffle looks to improve upon those stats in the Wii Ford Fusion later this season.

"I'm excited about this partnership with Nintendo and the Wii system," said Biffle. "I just got one myself and I love the boxing game. I've always been a fan of boxing and with Wii, it's a workout. I really get into it. I'll be driving the Wii car at Watkins Glen and Dover. I've got a pretty good record at Dover and I'd love to get the Wii car up front in both races."

Team owner Jack Roush is pleased to add Nintendo to the list of power brands that have chosen Roush Fenway Racing for their entry into the sport.

Air "Zonk" (TurboGrafx16, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone - Mild Cartoon Violence, 600 Wii Points): Air "Zonk" is a spin-off of the popular Bonk's Adventure series. This side-scrolling shooter retains the same cartoonish style of Bonk but is set in a cyberpunk future. The powered-up "Zonk" gathers his friends to form Team Cool, and they set out to stop King Drool's plan to conquer the world. Choose from three levels of difficulty and three Friend Modes. Shoot King Drool's cyber-robots and avoid their attacks while collecting the Air Bones to unleash a variety of unique attacks. Combine with a friend to create an invincible hybrid form or blast enemies with a charged attack. Air "Zonk" is filled with humor, made evident by the wacky theme song that plays when you post a huge score or when your game is over.

Press Room: Nintendo Reveals Incomparable Breadth of Upcoming Games for Wii

SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 11, 2007 – Consumers take note: Cancel your vacations, postpone your weddings and skip your class reunions. New games for the record-selling Wii™ video game system continue to set new industry standards for fun and adventure, even as they draw new players into the ever-expanding world of Wii. Nintendo announced these new offerings for Wii today during its media briefing at the E3 Media & Business Summit in Santa Monica, Calif.

"In less than eight months Wii has proved itself the video game system for everyone, and we're not letting up," says Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "We're producing hit after hit after hit, supported by a long line of third-party publishers who have shifted their resources to help make Wii the most distinctive video game system in history."

Counting downloadable Virtual Console™ titles, Wii already boasts more than 150 games. By the end of the year, that number will climb to about 350 in the United States alone. Just check out what Wii has to offer:

Wii Fit™: The active-play phenomenon started by Wii Sports™ now spreads to your whole body thanks to the pressure-sensitive Wii Balance Board (name not final), which comes packed with Wii Fit. The board is used for an extensive array of fun and dynamic activities, including aerobics, yoga, muscle stretches and games. Many of these activities provide a "core" workout, a popular exercise method that emphasizes slower, controlled motions. Family members will have fun staying active and talking about and comparing their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu.

Mario Kart® Wii (name not final): The new version of Mario Kart, due in early 2008, features new vehicles and lets players near and far compete using Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection, Nintendo's wireless gaming service. Mario Kart launches with the Wii Wheel™ (name not final), a steering wheel housing for the Wii Remote™ that brings new controls and challenges for veteran gamers, while making getting into a race easy and intuitive for newcomers.

Super Mario Galaxy™: The latest masterpiece by legendary video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto puts a smile on the face of everyone who plays it. Until now, no game has matched the sheer fun and sense of delightful awe produced by the groundbreaking Super Mario® 64. Using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk™, players navigate iconic hero Mario™ through a series of planets, each with its own gravity, chaotic challenges and power-ups. The game bursts through the screen in vivid artistic detail, and a second player can even provide some assistance along the way. It blasts off Nov. 12.

Super Smash Bros.® Brawl: Nintendo's all-out smash-or-be-smashed franchise remains one of the most highly anticipated games of the year. Its predecessor became the No. 1 selling game of all time on Nintendo's previous console. Super Smash Bros. Brawl ups the ante with new characters, new moves and new arenas. The game smashes into North American stores Dec. 3.

Wii Zapper™ (name not final): This new accessory combines the accuracy of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in a single housing for a new experience for first-person shooters and targeting games. Players can hear the sounds of battle through the Wii Remote speaker when it is incorporated into the Wii Zapper. It arrives on store shelves later this year, packaged with Nintendo-developed software that shows off its versatility. The Wii Zapper also will be used with a host of third-party games, including Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles from Capcom, Ghost Squad from Sega and Medal of Honor from Electronic Arts.

Check Mii Out Channel (name not final): Launching in 2007, this free new channel builds on the huge phenomenon of Wii owners creating fun caricatures of themselves, their friends and celebrities. The two main components of the free channel include an area where users can post Miis they have created to let others vote on their artistic abilities, and a competition element that lets users test their skills to create the most accurate likeness of individuals or other themes suggested by Nintendo. The Check Mii Out Channel joins the lineup of cool channels on the Wii Menu, which includes the Internet Channel, the Everybody Votes Channel and the Forecast Channel, among others.

Metroid® Prime 3: Corruption: This final chapter of the Metroid Prime trilogy introduces unmatched first-person controls by letting players use the Wii Remote as an arm cannon for a feeling of complete immersion. Heroine Samus travels between planets to stop her nemesis, Dark Samus, from corrupting them. All the while Samus fights the spreading Phazon that is taking over her body while giving her incredible powers. It launches Aug. 27.

More to Come: Other Nintendo titles launching this year for Wii include Mario Strikers™ Charged (July 30), Donkey Kong® Barrel Blast (Oct. 8), Battalion Wars™ 2 (Oct. 29), Endless Ocean™ (Oct. 29) and Fire Emblem™ (Nov. 5).

Third-Party Support: Third-party publishers are racing to see who can put the most resources behind Wii. By the end of the year, about 100 new Wii games will hit stores. EA brings Boogie and EA Playground, as well as online action for its Madden NFL and FIFA Soccer franchises; Mario and Sonic team up for the first time ever in Sega's Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games; Sega shows off dreamy aerial acrobatics with NiGHTS Journey of Dreams; Activision jams with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock; Namco Bandai puts the battle blade into players' hands with SoulCalibur Legends; Disney Interactive belts out High School Musical: Sing It!; Square Enix brings Dragon Quest Swords in early 2008 – and that's just a taste of what's to come.

Mario Kart Wii Announced!

Finally! Mario Kart has been verified for the Wii! Everyone knew it was coming, we just didn't know when. But now we know. Mario Kart Wii is coming in Q1 2008! It will also be shipping with a wheel similar to the wheel Ubisoft shipped with their game, except that this one has a blue ring on the back, with a button to the left.

Wii Zapper Announced!

TheWii Zapper is officially announced, but it looks a but different from its predecessor.

It looks more like a machine gun, and it looks like there is a button that you press that will push the B trigger on the Wii-Mote.
